Alfa Romeo 2.2 JTS Spider – interesting rare car for sale
Every so often one of our customers will decide to sell a car that is in our classic car storage units. Our customers live and work all over the world and sometimes a move, or new direction means their car is available.
Sometimes it is just a matter of getting distracted by a new treasure!
We’re pleased to say that we’ve found a new owner for this one, and we think they’ll enjoy this rare classic in the making.
The Alfa Spider has always been important for Alfa Romeo, accounting for some of the most beautiful cars ever produced, from the Giulietta Spider in the 1950s, to the Duetto, and the Spider launched in the 1990s.
The Alfa Spider of the mid to late 2000s, which has the essentially simple character of a true sports car, combined with the technological superiority of the new Alfa technology was no different.
Derived from the beautiful Alfa Brera coupe, the Spider is an elegant two seater that has a more aggressive stance than the Spiders of old. But the passenger compartment is both refined and sophisticated, thanks to the use of quality materials and outstanding features, including dual-zone automatic climate control, steering-wheel-mounted radio controls, VDC and Cruise Control.
This car has the powerful and reliable 2.2 litre petrol engine delivering 185 bhp, mated to six speed manual gearbox for full driver engagement in classic Alfa style. Excellent dynamic performance and a true Alfa ‘feel’ is guaranteed thanks to a high double wishbone suspension at the front and a Multilink system at the rear.
Enjoyed over 5 years by the current owner, a house move means that it is time to move on.
The car wears it’s miles well, as might be expected with regular servicing well within the approved 18000 mile interval and 65026 miles currently on the clock. It rides on good Falken 510 tyres and refurbished multispoke wheels . There are stonechips and marks as one would expect for a car of this age driven on UK roads, and the interior presents well with everything working. The power roof comes down without drama. The current MOT (at 65024 miles, with no advisories) expires on 10th June 2021.
There is a document pack and Service and Warranty booklet.
There are 3 previous keepers, with the service record suggesting the car has lived in Cheshire and Derbyshire before moving to Salisbury.
Priced at £6995, this was to be the best value Alfa Romeo spider for sale and represented a great opportunity to get into the Alfa club. Remarkable value for such a rare and refined style icon? Well done to the new buyer!
