For the second year one of the 1970’s Group 1 cars that lives with us, the Silja Line Dolomite Sprint, will be appearing at the Goodwood Members Meeting.
This very original car, still in its original paint and livery, will take part in the Gordon Spice Trophy race in the very capable hands of regular driver Tim Crighton and motor racing legend Jochen Mass.
Built in 1975 and sold in Bristol, the car made its way to Sweden and by 1978 had become a very effective Group 1 race car.
By 1981 the car was laid up with a disassembled engine, and so it stayed until relatively recently.
